Dear All,
I try to write some Chinese text for our beloved classmate -
Chiu Yu Chen, but I can not make good one. I put some of his
very begining job and his great business transition to describe
his great character.It is a plain text, but it is a true story
of great man who contribute his talent to the telphone set and
IC industry in the ROC.
After Yu Chen graduation, he worked at Telephone Laboratory, in
Chung Li. 1970 Telephone products(swithing equipment, telephone
set) is controlled by a
Japanese Co. - NEC. At Telephone Laboratory, there are PCB
facilities, crossbar switching equipment, computers In the year
of 1970, Tsai Sin Ming, Chen Kung Tai, Chiu Ji Hsiung, Bill
Hsien ,Chen Che-Hsiung, Chen Chi Yuan, and me were graduated
student in Chiao Tung University. Chiao Tung get money from
Telecommunication Lab, we can use Telecommunication Lab's
facilities. Yu Chen worked there, and Liu JY worked there and he
is working there still.
Then Yu Chen studied management science in the graduate school,
the fisrt kind of management science in the ROC. After his
graduation, he pursued the industy job. First worked with Chen
Che-Hsiung,Then he was in business job in a semiconduct
industry, called Hung Yu, located in Hsin Fung(two train
stations north of Hsin Chu city).
After departed for twenty years, we meet in 1997 reunion, when I
worked at NEC core department in Santa Clara as a micro process
verification engineer, he had been already a great business
man.He also mentioned about he making match with a Hung Yu girl,
but I do not have a heart(I have brain? No, I am dull)
His spirit of life is goal focusing style, that make him a great
business man. Six months ago, we chated a lot about life, he
already suffered from skin problem, but I did know that was
serious illness.
He is kind person, and always try to help classmate, and his
contribution to the telephone industry, semiconductor industry
is alwayed lived in my mind.
I love Yu Chen.
I always remember you.
